Fitness Reformer Pilates

These classes range from Beginner – Intermediate – Advanced, and include Strength based workouts and Pilates Barre workouts.

Reformer Level 1 (a step above the Beginners Course)

This is a class which builds upon the Beginners 8 Week Course.

You will be led through a whole body workout that comprises of the three main components of our classes - Strength, Flexibility and Control.

Control is all about balance, co-ordination and movement skill for a beginner level. 
 
You can expect a steady pace of class with Pilates foundation exercises that you will build upon in level 2 and level 3.

To put it simply this level class requires less movement skill, balance and co-ordination than the other levels and is a fantastic class to get a Reformer Pilates Workout.

Fitness 2

Level 2 (Intermediate)

We recommend you have some Pilates Reformer Experience before attending this level class. The pace is a little faster than a Level 1 with more focus on flow in your workout. A basic understanding of the foundation exercises is required for you to really enjoy and get the most from this workout.

You will experience a total body workout that comprises of Strength, Flexibility and Control. Control is all about balance, co-ordination and movement skill which in this level is more challenging than Level 1.

Level 3 (Advanced)

We recommend you have lots of Pilates Reformer Experience before attending this class with no significant injury or movement limitation. If Reformer 2 is no longer challenging you, Level 3 is your next step.

You will experience a total body workout that comprises of Strength, Flexibility and Control. Control is all about balance, co-ordination and movement skill and this forms a large part of this class as you flow through exercises that build upon previous levels.

Fitness 3

Strength & Tone

This is one of our clients favourites combining all the bends, twists and turns of Pilates with some traditional strength building exercises. You are encouraged you to pick up a weight, grab a resistance band or add a spring.
 
This is a mixed ability class with less focus on control and more focus on strength.
 
You can expect all variations of squats, lunges, pushes and pulls both on and off the reformer.

Barre

Another client favourite is our choreographed Barre workout where you are guaranteed to ‘feel the burn’ as you work on posture, alignment and tone.

Don’t worry no dance or ballet experience is needed for this much loved mat workout with a Ballet Barre.

Most of this class is standing with a floor mat core series at the end. Expect to feel all those small muscles you never knew you had, grit your teeth and push through your reps as those seemingly light weights really put you through your paces.
